BoF: MeeGo Bugzilla Structure Enhancement to facilitate bug reporting and bugs' disposition to right owner
Session Summary:
In a big and complex project with a large number of people involved like MeeGo, it's never an easy task to report bugs to right component and triage bugs to right owner accurately. This BOF is to discuss the enhancement that we can do in MeeGo Bugzilla Enhancement and bug triage process to facilitate the bugs' disposition. An idea of package based structure has been implemented as prototype, which will be demonstrated in the BOF. Any feedbacks and refresh viewpoints to make it better and put it in use are highly appreciated.
Session Abstract:
The idea of the improved structure is to further simplify products in bugzilla so that people could find out the entry to report bugs more easily comparing with today, and to list packages as components besides traditional components to make it possible to locate bugs at package level, hence assign the bug to the right owner with high accuracy. In the BOF, Shuang will demonstrate how things work with a prototype, and initiate the discussion about how bug triage process could be updated. So we are expecting an interactive session to answer questions and hear about feedbacks and suggestions.
