BoF: Planning for Qt 5

Session Summary:
The start of work on Qt 5 has been announced and its designs are pretty close to what MeeGo has required. The announced focus on Wayland, for example, has been expected for some time. Yet, achieving Qt 5 and then integrating it into MeeGo will not be a simple task. In this BoF session, we'd like to discuss with the community how to achieve that together, how to make one project benefit the other.
Session Abstract:

In this BoF session, we'd like to address both the topic of developing Qt 5 in cooperation with the companies and individuals interested in participating in this endeavour, and the topic of getting Qt 5 into a MeeGo release in the near future. For the former, the communications currently done on Qt 5 show the
way, but are not yet set in stone. There's also a lot of work to be done, which can be shared and coordinated.

On the subject of getting Qt 5 into MeeGo, there are implications to the MeeGo Compliancy, the SDK, base packages, existing applications, application stores, etc. This session will not be enough to address all issues, but it should be the start of mapping out the implications and figuring out who can do the work that is required.
