Bug’s Life, presentation of the bug’s life cycle

Session Summary: 
The presentation of the bug’s life cycle, focusing to ways how to take care of the bug on its entire life cycle and how to help it to get verified. The presentation shows the process shortly, tells how the good quality bug is created and what happens after that. Bug demonstrations are used to show the best practices, to familiarize the error management process and the ways how every community member can be involved.
Session Abstract: 

The meaning of the presentation is to tell bug’s life cycle in the MeeGo. The main focus is make error management more familiar to community members. The purpose is also give the community members fire to get involved by telling the different ways how to. In the presentation is used bugs from the bugs.meego.com, given information about the quality- error management- and bugzilla- wikipages and tell about the IRC channels where member can talk about the bugs and error management. Presentation starts from the new bug creation. To guarantee the good quality of the bug description the examples are shown in Bugzilla to tell what information is needed and why. Also different responsibilities for persons working with a bug are told. During the presentation different statuses of the bug are told, and the process how the bug are getting the status is clarified. Also the MeeGo specific Bugzilla features are going through. The presentation tells what happens in the bug triages and how the community member can take part to triage. As a part of bug triaging showing what other information can be found from the bug and how the changes can be done. Best practices and how to comment and communicate about the bugs are shown with bug examples.
