Internationalizing your Code: The World Awaits Your Cool Application in Every Language!

Even after all the training and exposure developers working on Moblin and now MeeGo have had to internationalize their code, the MeeGo Translation Project (MTP) is still finding major issues. This session will go over the most common internationalization violations, how to avoid them, and how to use existing Unicode libraries and standards. The focus will then shift to coding strings in QML-based apps for localization, with examples, both good and bad. The session will conclude with an overview of the MeeGo Translation Project: how it is used in MeeGo development, who is involved, and the tools that are used.
