Session Abstract:
systemd is a system and service manager that is in the process of being adopted by the various Linux distributions, on the desktop, on the server and in embedded environments. Most major distributions have switched to or offer systemd packages. In this talk I will explain what benefits mobile devices would be able to take advantage off if they adopt systemd. In particular I will shed some light on what systemd could mean for MeeGo, in terms of robustness, speed, features, APIs and compatibility.
